Disaster Relief

disaster-relief-mattressesIn 2010, heavy storms caused massive flooding across Pernambuco, Brazil—the site of several INMED project communities—leaving more than 50 people dead and 80,000 homeless.

In response, Johnson & Johnson made a cash grant and donated 125,000 personal hygiene items and products. J&J also donated more than 20,000 health education posters and fliers specifically targeted toward hygiene and sanitation measures after floods or other natural disasters to promote handwashing, obtaining and consuming clean water and maintaining sanitation.
